TIWOE (Things I Won on Ebay) #20
I’ve been searching for the page to see what was my last TIWOE and I was astounded that the last time I bought from Ebay was almost four months ago! I’m inclined to think that I’m beginning to be wiser with my spending… oh really??? LOL
Anyway, I’m having an epiphany. I noticed that out of six or seven days a week, I just use a monogram bag once or twice at most. This led me to believe that I’m kind of over the monogram phase. I don’t intend to resell them though. I just like them here in my room (euphemism for hoarding). I’m officially into heavy all-leather bags and/or practical, weatherproof microfabric/nylon material for the impending rainy days. I’m holding on to the Gucci coated canvas messenger, though, because it is really weatherproof. And having applied mink oil to the leather parts now made it almost impermeable. But I don’t want to haggard it so a good ol’ trusty bag in tessuto will do the trick. ^_^
I have very little Prada knowledge, though. I used to have two but I sold the other one half a year ago and I’m not really using the tessuto Robot one because it was open as hell. I have asked the ever reliable Prada enthusiast I met online, Gwen, to have a good look at it. According to her, the bag was about 10 years old and authentic. So that’s good news enough for me. I’m so excited for the bag to arrive tomorrow!!! <3
TIWOE (Things I Won on Ebay) #17
Well… live and let live. I’ve been running around doing errands and I got a blister from this pair of Prada sandals. Band-aid is my bestfriend. It may seem a half-size bigger but anything small than that will definitely make my feet suffer more.

It is beyond my comprehension why they put the Halloween Trick or Treat on a Thursday. First, it is Thursday and we are not accustomed to noisy children on a Thursday. Next, it is the 27th and I’m already out of funds to buy candies and chocolates for the children (
though I managed to pay for a pair of leather Prada sandals few hours back that I won on Ebay, which will arrive tomorrow! SO EXCITED!) because I’ll get my money tomorrow, the 28th. The decoration is quite nice, way nicer than what I expected it to be so KUDOS to those who took the time. The theme this year is computer games and we did “Cut the Rope” in our group. We have this big-ass Om Nom by the door and lots of dangling yarns and web and mock-up iPhones with the game. I just wanted one silly and sassy picture of me taken with that giant spider by the window hahaha And I did not bring my nephew this year because he has exams until tomorrow.
Well, what a lousy day. I have literally crammed to finish my paper due earlier. Now, one more paper to go and my semester is finally over. I’m soooooooooooooo distracted now. I just want to do HAPPY stuff and think of HAPPY things. LOL
Anyway, most of my Vogue magazines are in the office, secured in my cabinet. I have looked over them and saw that I’ve been collecting since 2007. Too bad that my March 2007 and THE September 2007 issues were some of I-don’t-want-to-count magazine casualties of Ondoy in 2009. I could have sold that magazine for more than 5k, for real.
I decided to finally take home the March 2011 and September 2011 issues because I just left them near my office desktop and fear that someone might take interest at them. LOL You will never know. Then I decided to take home with me this old Vogue Nippon March 2008 issue! I just looooooooooove Angela Lindvall in this Prada S/S 2008 ensemble! It still looks new because I hardly opened it. I just love the paper used for printing. I think there were about three or four types inside.

No Other Bag? But there are more stocks of it! LOL
If you have already watched “No Other Woman”, you will instantly recognize this bag! This YSL Chyc Cabas in this exact color was the literal pièce de résistance (tug-of-war, anyone?) in the first confrontation scene between Kara (Anne Curtis) and Charmaine (Cristine Reyes) as they quipped double entendre quotable quotes in the department store. It was really a witty scene, flowing with sarcasm.
I loved the movie! Mon and I watched last Saturday in Gateway cinema and the tickets were almost sold out when we were to choose our seats. I had little expectations over the movie but we came out of the cinema extremely happy. The script was full of wit and queens and fag hags in the Philippines will have more quotes to quip.
If you like bags as well, you must have also noticed the white lambskin Chanel flap, black Prada doctor’s bag and the Louis Vuitton Keepall 50 to name a few! Very good movie. The story is mediocre but the characters were portrayed really well. Carmi Martin’s lines are the best as well. Few screentime but knows perfectly how to make a mark.
I still haven’t bought my copy! >_< That’s soooooo lame of me!
I know this isn’t the right time to read these books (as the end of the semester is just around the corner), but I can’t resist especially after I stumbled upon their electronic copies! *winks* I love reading but sometimes I just cringe at the price of some books. Harry Potter books are the only books I’ll be buying over a thousand pesos LOL
Anyway, I’ve read before from the Purse Forum of the scandal Michael Tonello was in and he even maligned some of the members there. Not exactly attractive. Anyway, he admitted that bad publicity is good publicity especially it happened before the release of 'Bringing Home the Birkin' And as much as I love the movie version, I still haven’t read 'The Devil Wears Prada'! I’m also very interested to read Jenny Gucci’s take on the scandal involving Gucci and the Gucci family, so 'Gucci Wars' will be an exciting read.
I’m excited to READ, READ and READ! Off to Kindle now!
I made dustbags over the weekend to keep my possessions safe, took pictures and printed them to know which item’s inside.
This. Has. To. Stop.
ETA: I added the newest bag I got
This movie won Best Picture in 2010 MMFF and Ai-Ai delas Alas won Best Actress. Now, her winning the award is controversial so we watched it earlier in Trinoma to judge whether she deserves it or not. It was a good laugh and I’ve never heard a cinema ring with laughter since Eugene Domingo’s Kimmy Dora. But is she deserving of the award? I’m not 100% sure, but she did deliver good acting on her drama parts especially when she chased after her eldest son.I still have to watch Rosario to judge if the leading star was robbed off of a nomination or a win.
I did not expect to look at bags in the movie BUT I SAW LOTS AND LOTS OF BAGS. I think I saw Ai-Ai carry a Prada Gauffre satchel (or something gauffre in design) :
A Louis Vuitton Alma in Vernis (can’t recall the color as I’m colorblind!):
A Louis Vuitton Noe in Damier ebene canvas! I never thought they made one, but further research suggests that one can be made through special order.
I think I’ve also spotted her carrying a Coach bag in Op Art (the yellowish one with four giant C’s) and Shaina with a white (Marc by) Marc Jacobs bag but I can’t exactly tell. Maybe Ai-Ai owns these items IRL as she’s quite wealthy already but in the movie, she was an ex-president who barely made ends meet in the first part of the film series. Indulgence during her stint in the palace? LOL Anyway, Heart is such a party-pooper. Just a minute cameo won’t kill her. HAHAHAHA And the movie’s title, as always… O_O
I call thee Lazarus! HAHAHA I thought I’ve already lost this bag! A week ago, however, Mama found it inside one of our wooden sofa’s ‘compartment’. O_O How on earth did it end up there, I have no idea. It has been more than a year since I last saw it and I already accepted the fact that it has been lost. Since I had it almost two years ago, I had only used it twice (or thrice). The fourth one was last Christmas dinner in the office:
Very tricky bag. Lots of straps, buckles, etc. and I don’t exactly know how it should be carried. -_- (Major reason why it’s mostly left unused)
I woke up really early today because I had to finish my Anthro paper. I brought my laptop with me since I just can’t work at home. I just chucked everything inside my Robot Tote because I need easy access to everything…
… and I need a bag I can fold once I reach the office because my vintage Keepall 50 arrived!
So there I have it, a very nice reward after finishing my paper!
Wait for me Iceland! HAHAHAHA LOL
