IDGAF : T-shirt on a company “Fashion Ball”
Contents of my bag and the curious things I keep inside this pouch. =D (And yes, I have erythromycin and Mighty Bond inside)
(Random picture inside the campus) Who needs the Blackheath Forest when you have the UP Lagoon? =P This one’s for you, Lindsey! ^O^ Too bad I did not have giant, furry monsters around.
I’ve been through hell and back just for this Mulberry Bayswater in Congo leather. After three days of working on the missing postman’s lock and the carrying problem, I finally managed to totally fix it and I even attached a detachable strap from another Gucci bag so I can carry it messenger style!
TIWOE (Things I Won on Ebay) #21
I know that I’ve previously mentioned that I won’t be buying any clutch / pouch because I have already salvaged my LV toiletry case six days ago for the same purpose. Well, I have already paid for this black vintage Christian Dior zipped pouch. It arrived in the mail few hours back and I was really excited. But when I opened it, I noticed that it was bigger than what I originally expected and the original listing seemed to show a plain black one. HOWEVER, this is much better than what I hoped for and the design was extremely discreet and less monogram-y. Dior doesn’t have a lot of monogrammed stuff unlike Gucci and Louis Vuitton, except the Girly stuff and another pattern they produced before.
It isn’t the most roomy but it can snugly fit inside a long wallet, a coin purse, a wallet and a regular-sized umbrella! I looked on Ebay.com and a similar item with the monogram material is currently for sale at US$ 129.00 (US$ 9.00 shipping not included). I’d like to think that I got a very good deal considering that I only paid wayyyyyyyy less than that amount. ^_^
Most people, with a definitive affinity to certain things, are more or less ardently looking for their holy grail.
For me, THIS exact Mulberry Piccadilly will do the trick. I’ve heard that it’s not exactly the most practical size, with the reinforced base making it extremely heavy, but who cares? If I have one, I would just be putting in nothing else but bills, a cellphone and keys. I’ll be very happy to have one, and I don’t mind it being extra slouchy. I normally love structured bags but this one will definitely get a free pass.
'O come 'ye HOLY GRAIL! <3
(And yeah, it is kind of despicable how the Alexa has been incessantly knocked off. And the smug look on the carriers of these fake bags. Bitch, please.)
Mon and I while waiting for our respective classes. =) It’s my last day of normal classes and next week will be just an integration/review. I can’t believe I’m almost done with graduate school!
My head is spinning. Spent a lot of time reading about international trade and the international monetary system (e.g. foreign exchange, gold standard, Bretton Woods and all that jazz) for my IPE class later. I should be writing our weekly one-pager but decided that it’s much better to sleep first. Economics is never a strong suit of mine, but thank God for basic IR theories. They made things easier to digest. Good night world!
Can’t wait to watch Mission Impossible later with Mon… FINALLY
(the MMFF season is over)!!! And I can now smell the bibim ramyun, kimchijeon and kimbap from Mashitta in UP SC. ^_____________^
I was finally able to buy the 2012 Planner I’ll use as a filler for my leather Mulberry! It only costs Php 149.00! It breaks my heart to cut the cover because it was beautifully embellished with black sequins forming “2012”.
But given my penchant for interestingly designed things, I almost came in late for work because I had a hard time choosing which notebook to buy! It’s almost the same size as the planner and it cost me only Php 99.00! However, I don’t even think I have some use for it! It has this cute kitty design, while the others have this vintage fashion-y vibe over them (e.g. La Moda, Coquette, Glamour). I almost picked the VOGUE one but it’s too exuberant for my taste. =P The paper feels very nice and an officemate commented that it’s at par with the ones they sell at FullyBooked.
Cheers for organization and better planning this 2012! I know I’ll make good use of this planner, the same thing my 2011 planner helped me a lot! Dilapidated and dog-eared! School work and all that jazz, I’m now ready to conquer you! <3
It is my first time wearing this pink Paul Smith shirt and my fourth time wearing anything pink. It is actually nicer than I expected because it has this hibiscus detail on the collar and at the back. Quite summer-y but who cares. I can almost hear Damien (sp?) from ‘Mean Girls’, screaming “I WANT MY PINK SHIRT BACK!!!” LOL
F*ck the rules! A month ago! I’ve been wondering WHAT to wear for our company Christmas party and I’ve decided on a Chrysler Building-like top. But it proved to be very difficult to achieve. Of all the locations, Why New York?!?!?! Then I was informed that we are free to choose whatever location they have listed. Paris is quite expected from me. So I now choose London! ^____^ I want a Union Jack in my outfit! Be it on the top or the jeans, no matter! Geri’s Brit Awards dress way back in 1997 is sooooooooooooooo iconic and I would love this piece of fab with me! HAHAHA So it will be all-England next week: Mulberry, Doc Martens and if I manage to get one: Burberry. Rugged London street shit. (Well, technically, there are nuances within the Union Jack but I don’t care.) EGZOOOOOYYYYYYYTED!!!
Well, it’s the time of the year that almost everyone here in the Philippines is scampering to get their Starbucks planner. They will be basically paying for 16 (or 17? 18?) stickers worth more than a hundred pesos each to look like everybody else. Harsh. The ironic thing is that the majority of these people can’t even fill half of the stupid planner!!! I can attest to that because I know A LOT OF PEOPLE who can’t even lift a pen, aside from doodling on its pages. It’s a bulky thing to carry around and you look less cool if you look like everybody else (encore une fois). Period.
On the other hand, I’m so happy that I diligently filled up my DIY-ed planner almost a year ago and is still making good use of it. It is compact, practical and basically saved me the whole year. I know most cellular phones today have the planner/calendar feature but I feel much better jotting things down. This wallet-turned-planner has been everywhere as well. =D
Impending problem: I need to find a filler replacement. I was lucky enough that National Bookstore carried a planner the same size last year. I’m hoping that they’d manufacture something that will fit again this year.
OH! THIS IS MY 900TH POST!!! ^_^
