(Random picture inside the campus) Who needs the Blackheath Forest when you have the UP Lagoon? =P This one’s for you, Lindsey! ^O^ Too bad I did not have giant, furry monsters around.
LOL It has been almost a year since my last Hong Kong trip with Mon. It pays to have lots of friends currently residing there, and we were literally apartment-hopping in our house clothes and flip flops. HAHAHAHA
SUPERMOON!!!! It has been a long time since I last pointed my telescope to the skies! Unfortunately, it had been very cloudy for the past evenings and there was no chance that I’d be seeing the Aquarid shower. But as the moon is extra bright tonight, it was able to get through the hazy atmosphere! It was my first time using the Olympus point and shoot camera that Mon gave me for my birthday a month ago. And it gave me good pictures. I think my rods and cones in my eyes were quite battered by the Moon by the long viewing on the telescope. LOL
And yeah, happy 3rd year and 8th month to us, Mon! Love you!!! <3
TIWOE (Things I Won on Ebay) #20
I’ve been searching for the page to see what was my last TIWOE and I was astounded that the last time I bought from Ebay was almost four months ago! I’m inclined to think that I’m beginning to be wiser with my spending… oh really??? LOL
Anyway, I’m having an epiphany. I noticed that out of six or seven days a week, I just use a monogram bag once or twice at most. This led me to believe that I’m kind of over the monogram phase. I don’t intend to resell them though. I just like them here in my room (euphemism for hoarding). I’m officially into heavy all-leather bags and/or practical, weatherproof microfabric/nylon material for the impending rainy days. I’m holding on to the Gucci coated canvas messenger, though, because it is really weatherproof. And having applied mink oil to the leather parts now made it almost impermeable. But I don’t want to haggard it so a good ol’ trusty bag in tessuto will do the trick. ^_^
I have very little Prada knowledge, though. I used to have two but I sold the other one half a year ago and I’m not really using the tessuto Robot one because it was open as hell. I have asked the ever reliable Prada enthusiast I met online, Gwen, to have a good look at it. According to her, the bag was about 10 years old and authentic. So that’s good news enough for me. I’m so excited for the bag to arrive tomorrow!!! <3
And so, we were made to comply with the new dress code and my immediate team decided to have a “shoot” of us looking like normal people for another bulletin board. Given the current scorching weather here, I tend to bend the prescribed dress code on a daily basis but gave it full compliance just for today. Looking at this raw shot. I saw that my lips looked dry and I haven’t even bothered putting some powder on. LOL And I even grabbed a keyboard from the table WTF?!? LOL I just realized I haven’t worn any of my Hermes silk ties in years and on the last minute, I sparingly studded the collar of this boring black longsleeves. Dressing up is fun… if only the weather were not blazing. So, no, thanks!
Today, I am twenty seven!
Ho ventisette anni oggi!
J’ai vingt-sept ans aujourd’hui!
Dalawampu’t pitong taon ako ngayon!
And my Tumblr is also officially two years old!
Thank you Lord for this wondrous day! Thank you Mon for the wonderful gift!
<3 <3 <3
OH YEAH! I finally got my grades for my last semester in graduate school! Totally unexpected, particularly for PolSci 283 (Int’l Pol. Eco.) because I really had a hard time in that subject. But it’s all worth it! Just my comprehensive exams! YEY!
Happy 28th birthday to my sister Ate Dah! <3 We were born for just a year and three days apart thus the immense closeness. Love you so much!!!
Bespoke tailoring is the best! We finally got the four pants from the tailor after a week and I tried them on to see the fit. I must say that I was extremely happy with the results. Total price for the fabric and the tailor is Php 625 each. ^_^
Because it reminds me of the things, events and people that I am missing. It is like I am always on Tumblr to escape reality and build a world of my own where I can put myself out there and not mind whether people I know might be even reading the shit I am talking about. Maybe I’m on a quarter life crisis of some sort? I thought that would be solved by going back to school. But now that I’m almost done with graduate school, what should I do next? Or maybe I’m trying to do a lot of things and not finish any of them. Just blueprints stuck on my head.
I just miss my friends, but I’m afraid we no longer share something in common and I’m already so detached of what’s happening in their lives and I’m no longer welcome. As much as I want to reach out and do something, part of me nags me constantly with the words ‘Why bother?’. Maybe I just got tired of cleaning my room and organizing my things, that’s why I’m a bit melancholic. If it were not cloudy tonight, I might be outside and just pointing my telescope to the heavens and escape.

It is Mon’s 27th birthday today!!! Since I’ve got quite a low EQ, I gave my gift to him very early! At around 8pm he already got his two English-Korean dictionaries and a phrasebook! Good thing he loved them :) But I was left with no surprise come midnight. However, I had a last minute inspiration and did this mosaic of pictures to sloppily spell HAPI BDAY! I originally planned to do it in Hangul but I can barely fit 8 letters in an hour. I hoped I could have done a better job but he appreciated it all the same. Happy Birthday Mon and I LOVE YOU!!!
Mon and I while waiting for our respective classes. =) It’s my last day of normal classes and next week will be just an integration/review. I can’t believe I’m almost done with graduate school!
I really want a telescope. I really, really want one. When I was younger, my ambition was to become an astronomer. I memorized the constellations, the name of the stars, what months will Venus, Mars and Jupiter rise, and eclipses are my favorite. One of the highest points of my life was observing the Hale-Bopp comet in the summer of 1997, just standing in our relative’s terrace and observe the comet once the sun began to set. Few months before graduating, we had a field trip in the NISMED Observatory in U.P., and I was the first student in the whole class to see Jupiter (and its red spot), as well as Saturn on the telescope. My mother bought me an Olympus binoculars, and my two favorite objects to look at were the the Orion nebula in the Orion’s belt, as well as the Moon to see its craters! <3 Well, I eventually gave up on this dream because of how much physics will be needed. I love physics, but not until the computation part. I like just the dynamics and theories, but no math. LOL
I really want to get myself a telescope on my birthday. I’ve been debating whether I should get a brand new or second hand. That will be about a month and three days from now. Which reminds me, my blog will be two years by that time! Ho venticinque anni oggi will become ho ventisette anni oggi LOL But I will not change its name, though, the same way I did not change it to ventisei last year.
THREE YEARS AND A HALF!
Madonna, you are my queen but you are so wrong… Time goes by so quickly! =P Today is Mon and I’s 3rd year and a half together! ♥ We saw “The Devil Inside" in Gateway and it was really freaky. I think I’d be sleeping again with my lights on for a week. That’s the reason why I don’t watch horror movies. Thriller, yes. Tarantino-esque bloodbath, yes. CHAINSAW MASSACRE, YES. But no supernatural stuff because I think those beings can materialize in front of me in a snap and they can’t be outrun. LOL
We then went to Glorietta to pay some bills before playing in Timezone! I got 1,000 free tickets from the “Price Cube” game, and we redeemed three toys for my nephew and niece, and Mon’s sister. HAHAHA We also got a cute yellow, feathery pen. LOLOLOL We also shot hoops and I got 40 and Mon got 18. LOL I still have it!
For dinner, we realized we haven’t tried Marciano’s in Greenbelt 3. The place gave me that old American vibe! There were Marilyn and Audrey (and the latter’s Sabrina was playing on the screen). Love everything inside. They have other selections but we tried their pesto and another pizza. Of course, we always wanted to try different kind of pestos and rank them. =D They have a funny menu, though. One page has ‘Upper East Side’ and all dishes were named after Blair, Serena, Jenny, Vanessa, Chuck, Nate and Dan. WTH?!?! LOL They have good servings and service though. Love you Mon and more years to come! =)
I’ve been reading my cellphone in the dark for more than 20mins, with one eye closed. After putting it down, i began to appreciate the pirate’s eyepatch… Instant night vision!!! LOL
