Contents of my bag and the curious things I keep inside this pouch. =D (And yes, I have erythromycin and Mighty Bond inside)
Ugh. I miss my friend, Ikle, so much. =’( I no longer have any camera whore around me to practice silly impromptu shots. Picture from June 14, 2008 when we were just loitering around the UP Campus.
TIWOE (Things I Won on Ebay) #21
I know that I’ve previously mentioned that I won’t be buying any clutch / pouch because I have already salvaged my LV toiletry case six days ago for the same purpose. Well, I have already paid for this black vintage Christian Dior zipped pouch. It arrived in the mail few hours back and I was really excited. But when I opened it, I noticed that it was bigger than what I originally expected and the original listing seemed to show a plain black one. HOWEVER, this is much better than what I hoped for and the design was extremely discreet and less monogram-y. Dior doesn’t have a lot of monogrammed stuff unlike Gucci and Louis Vuitton, except the Girly stuff and another pattern they produced before.
It isn’t the most roomy but it can snugly fit inside a long wallet, a coin purse, a wallet and a regular-sized umbrella! I looked on Ebay.com and a similar item with the monogram material is currently for sale at US$ 129.00 (US$ 9.00 shipping not included). I’d like to think that I got a very good deal considering that I only paid wayyyyyyyy less than that amount. ^_^
LOL It has been almost a year since my last Hong Kong trip with Mon. It pays to have lots of friends currently residing there, and we were literally apartment-hopping in our house clothes and flip flops. HAHAHAHA
I murdered a Louis Vuitton bag. LOL I both have this Amazone sling bag and this large toiletry case that I haven’t used in years because I finally ruined the zipper of the bigger compartment of the former and lost the zipper pull of the latter. While I don’t have any use with the Amazone because of its small capacity, I’m still in love with the toiletry case. So, to cut the crap, I took a longnose pliers from the toolbox once I got home and started this crazy DIY project! I’ve been looking online for another toiletry case, so in order to prevent another unimportant spending, it’s but quite rational to make use of what I currently have. Now, off to deodorizing this one because it smells like it has been stored for a long time LOL
I’m currently watching the 1997 movie and blockbuster Titanic and I suddenly recalled how extremely smashing this movie was. Rose and Jack were the perfect match and Leonardo DiCaprio became the fantasy of every girl and gay during that era. Well anyway, during the start of the film, I noticed that the Unsinkable Molly Brown arrived with a buttload of Louis Vuitton cases and trunks! Girl do knew how to travel in style! She can give the Jessica Simpsons and the Kim Kardashians a run for their money!
Apparently, this was based on verifiable fact because when they found the ruins of Titanic, Louis Vuitton trunks and cases were taken from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. They were able to recover and examine some of the possessions of the passengers because the trunks protected them well.
This is such a beauty… only that it came from a shipwreck. Tragic.
The first thing that came to mind when I saw this ‘Anselm Reyle for Dior’ bag in their official FB page —- Multicolored-Monogramouflage Louis Vuitton Neverfull. It is quite funny how it is being marketed as original and vibrant. However, I’ve got to cut them some slack on this aspect because a particular silhouette may be associated with a specific brand, but it can’t have the total credit for such a classic style (e.g. Hermes Birkin = Mulberry Bayswater, LV Speedy = Gucci Boston). They retained the DIOR charm with some geometric shapes (triangles, by the look of it) and the familiar cannage “quilting” (I hope it is indeed sewn on and not printed). Well, true Dior fans will definitely grab it. It is a perfect summer bag, but I cannot unsee its Neverfull-ness.
I do not know whether this is funny or not, photoshopped or not. LOL (So it is funny? HAHAHA). C’est littéralement une ‘Maison de Louis Vuitton’!!! The clothes hanging everywhere are beyoooooond HAHAHA It is purportedly found in Malolos, Bulacan. The owner’s house might be named ‘Aling Elvie’. HAHAHA
I always get asked “What’s inside your bag?” and I just simply answer “A LOT”. I seem to always lug a considerable lot to other people. I’m not always comfortable showing what’s inside it but I took this opportunity to survey again what can I possibly be bringing.
Case in point: this Bosphore GM I used earlier.
It’s really difficult to deal with bags with no zippers and with a giant flap. And being obsessed with messenger styles, I’m prone to face this particular problem. Then, I got this Mulberry nylon case and used it as a bag organizer! This zipped pouch secured my things and at least all my essentials and other stuff won’t get jumbled inside.
- Mulberry nylon pouch
- Vogue Nippon (to hold the shape of the bag)
- an Hermès wool scarf (to be left in the office)
- a Kindle 3G+WiFi
- keys in an ID lace way back from college
- an LV wallet
- a Mulberry in congo leather wallet-turned-planner
- a Marc Jacobs coin purse
- a pack of tissue paper
- menthol cone
- iPod classic
- Bench hairlastic
- a mini-capsule full of ‘in case of emergency’ meds
- a band-aid
So I think what basically made my bag heavy was the Vogue Nippon LOL But I can’t bear not to have a structured bag in bags of this style :) Unnecessary pain.
TIWOE (Things I Won on Ebay) #15
Wow it has been almost six months since I last bought something from eBay and one of the things I bought in a span of a week arrived (I swear, I was really on a roll last week. All that anxiety from the past semester was channeled through buying online).
This Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene coin purse just arrived today! ^.^ I never had a damier something BUT I will most probably be giving it to Mon on our 3rd year-2nd month on November 6. I already have a coin purse and I don’t see the point of owning this one. He already has a coin purse but it looks… plain. =P I will be surprising him this Sunday and he will surely love it!
On another note, the Prada leather sandals also arrived today and I’m already wearing them! Though I can’t take a picture of them now so will be taking some later. And yes, it’s holiday in the Philippines from today until tomorrow but I’m working. I took the initiative to resist eating incessantly at home. LOL
I’m so proud of myself! I just finished cleaning my room before another week of papers and files scattered everywhere. However, I’m proud of the fact that I’ve put my feet down and decided to keep the rest of the bags that I don’t use. Now, I just left seven bags outside that I will rotate for 3-4 days. Everyday if I can help it but I usually leave something important in the previous day’s bag so that would be a bit difficult. <3
F*CK! I’M NOW IN ONE OF MY TOWERING RAGES!
I’ve had enough! I’m no longer lending my things to other people. I’m careful of my bags especially my vintage items! Now I no longer know what to do with this one because having it repaired in the store will cost WAYYYYYYYYYY more than how much I bought it. Then ‘lo and behold, I get the “it’s-already-old-to-begin-with" argument!!! F*CK. F*CK. F*CK. I want to smash plates and break televisions using a titanium baseball bat!!! >_______________<

Finally. Angelina Jolie for Louis Vuitton (with an Alto GM)! <3
